FinanceBoards Widget Spotlight #14: The Analysts Price Targets History
Being able to know and keep track of what the analysts are predicting the company’s stock price will be in the future and the change in price that they are projecting versus their last price projection should be another metric display of information that you should include on your FinanceBoards Dashboard(s).
With FinanceBoards, you can configure your researching and investing dashboard(s) with any of our 500+ financial data or information widgets. In our Widget Spotlight Series, we pick one or a group of these widgets, and explain how it works and go over why you should consider adding them to your FinanceBoard dashboard(s).
The Widget in the Spotlight today is the Analysts Price Targets History.
The Analysts Price Targets History Widget shows the Date that the Institution’s Analysists set the Price Target, The Institutions Name, The New Price Target for the Company’s Stock, The Action that it is taking relative to the last price that it had targeted, (Announces Coverage, Raises, Lowers) and the prior target that it had for the Company’s Stock. This widget has been created from data provided by our data partner Benzinga.
Being able to compare the targeted price to the actual market price, as well having access to prior historic pricing information available by also having one of the TradingView Price History Charts like the Company Information Chart Widget, as described in Spotlight #5, can definitely enrich one’s research and investment knowledge regarding the history and future projections of the price of a stock. It can also provide one with a group of price targets by the major institutions on where the stock’s price is targeted to be over the coming months.
Having access to the price targets that the major Institutions are projecting for a company’s future stock price available in one widget’s format on your FinanceBoards Dashboard(s) would seem to be a mandatory stock research metric that one should have available for every stock being held or researched.
As with all of the FinanceBoards widgets a simple change of the Company’s stock symbol can not only refresh all of the widgets on your research dashboard to the company that you are currently searching, but one can also just change the stock symbol on the widget being addressed to also reflect the company being researched.
The breadth of FinanceBoards’ research data and information widgets are much greater than just the Analysts Price Targets History Widget though. You can also create any Widget yourself from any API and add them to your dashboards, either our premade ones or ones you’ve created.
