Slow Stochastics

The Stochastics indicator compares where a stock closed relative to its price range over a period of time. It, along with RSI, is used to measure the overbought/oversold state of a stock. Readings below 20 indicate a stock is near its low for the given time period. Above 80 indicates near the high. The slow Stochastics is smoothed out with a 3-day simple moving average, making it less volatile than the fast Stochastics. We are using a standard 14 day period.
