EMA Crossovers

When a shorter period moving average is above a longer period moving coverage, it is considered a bullish signal and vice versa. For the EMA Crossovers screener, we are testing 4 EMA / Exponential Moving Averages – 5 Days, 13 Days, 20 Days and 50 Days EMAs, plus the last trading price and compare them against each one for crossovers. For example if the Last Trading price is higher than the 5 Days EMA, it gives us one bullish signal. Or if the 13 Days EMA is higher than the 20 Days, it gives us one more bullish signal. The total signals generated are 10. If two stocks have the same number of crossover, we rank them by the percentage of Last Price to it’s 5 Day EMA.
